The application and interview process at TAIN is rigorous, no matter which side of the table you are on. For us, we must identify the very best candidates for our firm. For you, it's critical that you find the career path that makes the most of your strengths while fulfilling your interests.

Application Form Guidance
Your application form should be the best possible reflection of your abilities and achievements and must highlight your leadership, problem-solving skills and examples of personal impact.

The Process

Step 1: Gather information you will need to fill out your application, e.g. education information, test scores, etc.

Step 2: Submit the online application

Step 3: If you are called in for an interview, prepare for the same.

Step 4: Interviews: Experience interviews and Case Interviews

When complete, your application will be routed to the appropriate recruiting team based on your preferences, background and interests.

Application Guidelines:

We have tried to make the application as straightforward as possible. However, we do need to collect certain important pieces of information, so completing this application may take a little time (15 - 30 minutes.average). You may save your application at any point and return to it later to continue working on it. Depending on your specific background, you may find that some of these questions do not apply to you. Whenever this is the case, simply select the appropriate option in the response menu and move to the next question.

Although we receive applications from individuals with varied academic and professional backgrounds from around the world, we ask all our applicants a common set of questions. We will use this information, to route your application to the most appropriate recruiting department so they can take decisions on the appropriate steps.

TAIN will hold the information you provide in this application confidential, and will not use the application information for purposes other than consideration of you as a candidate for present or future employment, or for inclusion in your employment records if you become a TAIN employee. By submitting application information, you acknowledge that TAIN will have access to the application information for such purposes, and consent to such use.

The TAIN Interview

Prepare, practice, be yourself.
The interview is the chance for both parties to find out whether TAIN is the right choice for you. It's as much an opportunity for you to learn about us as it is an opportunity for us to learn about you. We want you to do well so we can both make the most informed decision possible.

Two Types of Interviews
It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the two types of interviews we conduct: the experience interview and the case interview.

Experience Interviews

During the experience interview, be prepared to discuss specific instances when you have shown relevant skills and have been challenged or stretched.
When we decide to interview you, we are already impressed by your achievements to date. However, it is not just your achievements that are important to us,it is also the skills you used in order to accomplish the achievements.
Our interviewers are trained to examine your past accomplishments in depth, in order to determine if the skills you possess would position you well for a successful career at TAIN. Therefore, you need to be prepared to discuss your most important past experiences in a detailed manner, focused on your specific role and describing the key actions that were critical to success.

Case Interviews

Case interviews give you an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to structure your thinking, respond to complex or ambiguous problems in unfamiliar businesses, and reach sound conclusions with limited facts in a short time.
We believe the best way we can assess your problem-solving skills is to discuss a typical business problem with you, using a case study during your interview.

Case interviews are broad, two-way discussions, rather than one-way tests and there is no perfect answer. You will be assessed more on how you go about dealing with the problem, rather than on the specific answers you come up with.
As you work through the business case with your interviewer, you will also become better informed about our firm and the kinds of problems we solve. Most candidates enjoy the cases and the business issues they raise. Your approach to the case and the insights you reach will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your problem-solving abilities and help us get a sense of your potential.

Practicing before a case interview
Practice for case study discussions is recommended, especially if you are inexperienced at interactive problem-solving discussions. To help you prepare for your interview, we've put together some interactive case studies and the team leader game- a game about working on an engagement team.

Why We Use Case Studies?

Your ability to deal with complex or ambiguous problems in unfamiliar businesses in a creative manner, structure your thoughts, and to reach sensible conclusions with the available facts in a short time are critical to being a successful consultant.

Since no particular background or set of qualifications necessarily prepares you to do this, we've come to rely upon the case study as an integral part of our interview process. The case study gives us an opportunity to see how you think about problems and whether you can reach a well-supported conclusion. It also gives us an opportunity to gauge your sense of prioritization and judgment within a business context.

At your end, the case study should give you a real insight into the type of work that our firm does. If you enjoy the case discussion with your interviewer, it is likely that you will enjoy working in our firm.
